Memories. Photos. Laughter. It’s all in a day’s work when you’re looking for family things to do in Perth.

And the best part is, you don’t need to go far. Perth is a relatively compact metropolis, with a world of entertainment, dining, and activities all within the heart of the city (many of them right here at Crown Perth).

What’s On At Crown

Crown is an entertainment venue. It’s a hub of restaurants and bars. It’s a mecca for activities. It’s even a staycation destination.

It’s everything you could want when you’re after family fun stuff to do in Perth.

On the stage

The Crown Theatre brings world-class productions to the City of Light.

There are regular theatre shows, from beloved musicals like Wicked and Jesus Christ Superstar to family-friendly performances such as Alice (in Wonderland) and Beauty and the Beast.

Introduce the kids to the magic of theatre, and be sure to check the schedule often to see what else is coming up!

Staycation At Crown

Staycay all day at Crown, where you can experience your home city like the visitors do.

Crown Towers is all about exceptional luxury. Crown Metropol is designed to be family-friendly. And Crown Promenade is ideal if you’re trying to get some work done while the kids are at the pool.

Speaking of, the pool is only available to guests at the hotel, ensuring you’ll have plenty of space to splash about.

Pro tip: Keep an eye out for family accommodation offers, which come up every now and then and mean exceptional value for your squad.

Family Dining

There’s nothing that pleases the whole family quite like a buffet, which is what makes Atrium one of the best family-friendly restaurants at Crown. Not only is the location itself beautiful, the buffet option include Asian, Western, and European dishes, as well as seafood and antipasto, and an entire dessert bar the kids will love.

Another great option is Market & Co, which is a casual dining eatery with a dedicated kids’ menu loaded with all their usual favourites like chicken nuggets, fish n ships, spaghetti Bolognese, and pizza.

Exploring Perth

Perth is a stunning city. For those who love to explore and adventure as a family, there are plenty of things to do in Perth that will help you appreciate the beauty of this capital city.

Burswood Park

Burswood Park is a cheat code for any family. Located right in the heart of the city, it features play areas, walks, art, a sculpture trail, picnic spaces, lakes, and even a café for when caffeine calls.

There are also regular family-friendly events, so it’s worth checking the calendar to see what’s on

Perth Zoo

What better family friendly activity than the Perth Zoo?

The young and young at heart alike can both appreciate the silliness of otters, the lazy strength of lions, and the quiet intelligence of elephants. The zoo lets you see them all in real life, learn about conservation, and attend free keeper talks.

There are also kids programs for extra animal fun.

Sky High Family Fun

Adrenaline. Action. Adventure. If your family is all about heart-racing fun, Zip Climb is the place to be.

Here you can walk up and over the iconic Matagarup Bridge, take a stroll on the Glass Floor Sky View Platform, then zipline 400 metres back down across the river. You’ll hit a maximum speed of 75 kilometres per hour, and make memories to last a lifetime.

Note that kids have to be at least 8 years old, 30kg, and 122cm tall for this adventure.

The Ozone at Optus Stadium

Got sports fans in the family? Take it to the next level at Optus Stadium.

Climb onto the roof of this iconic building with their Vertigo tour, or keep your feet on the ground and head behind the scenes on a stadium tour. You can even watch 7-8 overs on game day from the roof with a BBL|14 Rooftop Experience for something truly magical.

Individual venue conditions and opening hours apply. Bookings subject to availability. Menu subject to change and availability. Images for illustration purposes only.
