What is changing?

From 1 December 2025, all Crown Rewards Members are required to have a valid Crown Rewards Membership Card to continue to play on Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs).

To get ready well ahead of the deadline, you can update your Membership Card at a Crown Rewards desk from 3 April 2025.

A valid Membership Card is one where you have;

  1. Verified your identification, with a current form of physical Acceptable Identification,
  2. Added a photo to your Membership Card,
  3. Set your time and loss limits,
  4. Updated your contact details to be able to receive monthly Player Activity Statements later in the year.

These measures are being taken to ensure safer, more accountable and enjoyable gambling experiences for all our members and guests and will allow Crown to better detect and prevent any potentially fraudulent or unsafe activity to your Crown Rewards Membership.

We recommend all members take this action as soon as possible by visiting a Crown Rewards desk to minimise potential wait times closer to the 1 December deadline.

If you are not yet a member but would like to play on Electronic Gaming Machines, we recommend you join Crown Rewards prior to 1 December 2025.

Do I have to have my photo taken?

Having a photo on your Membership Card is a security measure to prevent anyone else using your Card.

We understand some people don’t want their photo taken, but it is a requirement to play on Electronic Gaming Machines at the Casino from 1 December 2025.

When do I need to update my Membership Card by?

You can update your Membership Card any time after 3 April 2025.

The deadline to update your Membership Card is 1 December 2025. As we approach this deadline, we expect our Crown Rewards desks to be busier than usual with extended wait times.

We recommend you visit a Crown Rewards desk as soon as you can and don’t wait until the 1 December deadline.

What is a ‘time and loss limit’, and how do I set mine?

You are required to set a time and loss limit to suit your play. You can update and adjust your loss limits at any time by visiting a Crown Rewards desk.

The loss limit that you set is up to you and should be based on your financial circumstances. Considering what you can afford to spend on gambling each day or week is a good start.

The time limit you set is for a weekly period. Weekly limit periods commence at 6am every Monday.

After 1 December 2025, the limits will come into effect. Should you wish to adjust your time and loss limits, a cooling off period of seven (7) days will apply.

If you are decreasing your loss limits, this will be applied instantly. If a limit has been reached, the decreased limit will be effective after the cooling off period.

Time limits cannot be extended for longer than 28 hours in any rolling seven-day period. This forms part of Crown’s commitment to player safety and to ensure responsible and enjoyable gaming limits from 1 December 2025.

For further guidance, the Crown PlaySafe team is available to assist 24/7 onsite and offer a range of resources and tools online including the Discretionary Income Self-Assessment tool to make informed decisions about your gambling behaviour.
