Access & inclusion

At Crown Perth, our vision is to create an experience of access and inclusion for all. We are always looking for ways to ensure our venues, entertainment experiences and platforms are available and accessible to everyone.

We are committed to ensuring our complex is accessible to everyone visiting Crown Perth by providing the following facilities:

  • 92 accessible parking bays
  • Accessible hotel rooms at all three Crown Perth hotels
  • Lift or ramp access to all venues
  • Accessible toilets, some with automatic doors
  • Changing Places accessible adult changing facility
  • Pool hoist at Crown Towers and Crown Metropol lagoon pools

Facilities

Parking

Accessible parking is available in P1, P3, P4, P6, P8 and in the multi storey car park, subject to availability. Vehicles must display a valid accessible parking permit.

Changing places and accessible toilets

In addition to accessible toilets throughout the complex, Crown Perth now houses a registered Changing Places facility.

Changing Places is a worldwide standard that helps provide suitable facilities for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. Changing Places offers additional features including an adult-size height adjustable change table, privacy screen, peninsular toilet, ceiling hoist and extra-wide automatic doors.

This facility is located within the Crown Metropol foyer and has 24-hour access for patrons with their own MLAK key. 

Crown Theatre

Crown Theatre has limited dedicated wheelchair and companion seating. All bookings for these seats are handled by our ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. For more information, please refer here.

Assistive technologies

Screen readers

Our pages are tested using Nonvisual Desktop Access (NVDA), which is best suited for accessing our website.

People with screen readers can navigate our site by headings and links using the screen reader's shortcuts. We also use pop up dialog boxes to display information, which can be closed using the link provided or by a shortcut.

Basic Navigation

Our website is best viewed using the latest version of Chrome, Safari or Firefox, or Internet Explorer. We strive to ensure all video content complies with WCAG 2.0 to level AA.

Adobe PDF documents

Crown publishes many documents in PDF format. 

PDFs can be converted to a format suitable for a screen reader by submitting the URL of the PDF document to the Adobe online conversion tools, which will return the text in HTML format readable by appropriate speech conversion software.
