Join Ray Jordan, one of Australia's most experienced wine journalists, for an exclusive evening of exceptional wines. Be surrounded by fellow wine-lovers and elevate your wine knowledge as you learn from one of WA's most celebrated writers.

With Ray Jordan as your guide, you will embark on a sensory journey and deepen your wine knowledge. Limited to six events, each evening will focus on a different Australian winery, showcasing the exceptional quality of Australia’s various wine regions. Each winery has been thoughtfully selected as an exemplar of the region it calls home.

Your experience will be complete with a bespoke menu created to compliment each of the wines.

Moss Wood Winery

Hosted by Ray Jordan with Moss Wood representatives Alex Coultas (Senior Winemaker and Viticulturalist) and Tristan Mugford (Winemaker and Viticulturalist), discover the exemplary wines of Moss Wood, an important founding estate of the Margaret River wine region. 

Widely regarded as one of the best wineries in the region, Moss Wood’s exacting viticulture ensures the production of grapes of excellent quality. Known for their brilliant chardonnay, powerful semillion and elegant cabernet sauvignon, Moss Wood has created a stable of fine wines distinguished by their consistency over each vintage & their ability to age superbly.

Ray Jordan

Ray Jordan has been writing about wine for more than 40 years. His first articles were published in the early issues of the national wine magazine Winestate in the late 1970s when he worked in Sydney as a newspaper correspondent. From 1989 Ray wrote more than 3000 columns as a regular newspaper wine columnist. He currently writes a regular column for the special business publication Business News and is one of the main contributors to the national wine platform Wine Pilot. He also contributes special wine commentary to 3AW in Melbourne and 6PR in Perth.

 In 2017 Ray co-authored The Way it Was – A History of The Early Days of the Margaret River Wine Industry and previously wrote Wine in the Blood: Australia’s Family Wine Estates, published in Mandarin and English. In 2011 Ray was awarded the WA Wine Press Club Jack Mann Memorial Medal for his contribution to the WA wine industry. 

His love of wine is as strong as his love of the blues and tasting the thousands of wines that cross his bench each year allows him to indulge in both.
